Chamber boss takes bungy plunge

Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce CEO Susan Allen is literally plunging head first into her new job.

As part of the Toss the Boss fundraiser, the chamber is holding its Business after Business meeting at WildPlay Element Park, Aug. 23 from 5-7 p.m.

If chamber members can raise $5,000 by the meeting, Allen will bungy jump off WildPlay’s 45-metre bridge over the Nanaimo River canyon.

Fifty per cent of the money raised goes to charity and 50 per cent helps the chamber’s programs and services.

Donations can be made by e-mailing or faxing 250-756-1584.

WildPlay Element Park is at 35 Nanaimo River Rd. in Cassidy.
