Projects earn Island awards
Nanaimo building projects snapped up several awards at the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board’s Commercial Building Awards April 14.
Finalists and winners came from VIREB zones from across the Island north of the Malahat.
All investments, commercial or industrial building developments or renovation projects nominated were completed last year.
Finalists were named by a team of judges selected from the professional and development industries.
Nanaimo projects winning the award of excellence, award of merit, honourable mention or finalist award included: the East Wellington Fire Hall; B.C. Ferries’ Departure Bay waiting room; U-Lock Storage; 1965 and 1975 Bollinger Road; University Village Shopping Centre; Rutherford Ridge; City Centre Condos; Seven Sails; 1650 Terminal Ave.; Maverick Place; Sun Meadows at Cottle Creek; Thornbridge at Longwood; Meredith Court; Oak Bay Manor; and the Bowen Park amphitheatre.
