Marr, a certified general accountant, joined the port authority in 1987 as manager of finance. Mailloux has been the marina supervisor since 2003.

The Nanaimo Port Authority is one of 17 federal port authorities in Canada. Its mandate is to administer, control and manage the harbour waters and foreshore in the area adjacent to Nanaimo.
